These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between Vanmovers Logistics Inc. ("Company" or "we") and you ("Customer" or "you") regarding moving and/or storage services. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Quotes and Services

Detailed Estimates: A written estimate will be provided outlining the estimated number of movers, boxes, transport vehicle size, hourly rates or flat fees, estimated weight (including a clause for re-weighing if exceeding 10% of the estimate), insurance options, and payment terms. The estimate becomes a binding contract upon your signature.

Included Services: Quotes include an itemized price list, date and time, crew size, and addresses.

Excluded Services: Unless agreed in writing, quotes exclude insurance, waivers, fees, taxes, furniture disassembly/assembly (except beds, cribs, tables), appliance disconnection, floor covering removal, and moving of excluded items (dangerous, valuable, perishable, illegal, or hazardous goods).

Additional Charges: Charges may apply for moving large items, stairs without elevators, inaccessible locations, accessing stored goods, packing, or disassembly/reassembly of furniture requested on a moving day. Specialty item charges apply for pool tables, pianos, etc.

2. Customer Responsibilities

Packing and Labeling: Pack, label boxes, and disclose fragile or high-value items for additional insurance coverage.

Legal Ownership/Authorization: Guarantee legal ownership or authorization to move all goods.

Accessibility: Ensure clear and unobstructed access to our crew and vehicles' moving origin and destination.

Inventory: A detailed inventory will be created jointly before loading, noting any pre-existing damage.

Scheduling: Notify us 72 hours (96 hours for Monday moves) before changes.

Cancellation: Cancellation may result in loss of deposit.

Reservation Deposit: A deposit is required to secure your booking.
3. Vanmovers Logistics Inc. Responsibilities

Insurance: We offer basic and optional insurance coverage. You are responsible for choosing the appropriate level of coverage.

Care and Handling: Our trained movers will handle your belongings with care, utilizing proper techniques and equipment.

Communication: We will keep you informed throughout the moving process and address any questions or concerns.

Right of Refusal: We reserve the right to refuse service under unsafe or unsuitable conditions.
4. Company Liability

Company Packing: Items packed by us are covered.

Customer Packing: Items packed by you have limited coverage ($0.60/lb).

Damage to Premises: Our liability is limited to $750,000 under our General Liability Coverage.

Exclusions of Liability: Normal wear and tear, inherent vice of the goods, acts of God, damage to self-packed items, damage-prone goods, weather-related damage, valuables, firearms, and delays outside our control.

Release of Liability: You may need to sign a release for potentially damaging situations.
5. Weight Discrepancies and Additional Charges
Should the actual weight exceed the estimated weight by more than 10%, we reserve the right to re-weigh the shipment and adjust the final cost accordingly.
6. Payment Terms

Deposit: A deposit between ($100-$500) is due upon booking.

Remaining Balance: This is due upon completion of the move (before unloading at the final destination) unless otherwise agreed upon.

Accepted Methods: E-transfer, cash, credit card, debit card. Cheques are not accepted.
7. Claims Process
In the event of lost or damaged items, submit a detailed claim within seven days for local moves and fifteen days for long-distance moves. Claims received after this period are inadmissible.
8. Limitation of Liability:
Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the declared value of the items and the chosen insurance coverage.
9. Dispute Resolution:
We strive to resolve disputes amicably through open communication.
10. Termination:
This agreement can be terminated by either party with written notice for cause.
11. Governing Law:
This agreement is subject to the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
