We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. This role requires a unique blend of financial acumen, logistics expertise, and strategic business development capabilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior management to drive growth, optimize financial operations, and ensure our logistics services meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial and logistics strategies that align with Vanmovers’ growth objectives in the Erbil and Kurdish markets. Build relationships with local and international partners to expand our logistics services.
Invoice Processing & Payment Setup: Ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, manage payments through banking systems, and maintain the efficiency of disbursements for both logistics operations and financial transactions.
Client Engagement & Aging Reports: Maintain strong relationships with clients while preparing and reviewing aging reports to monitor overdue accounts, initiating follow-up actions when needed, and ensuring timely payments.
Credit Card and Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile financial transactions, including foreign currency exchanges, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies that may affect our supply chain or customer interactions.
Month-End Financials & Reporting: Prepare and process month-end journal entries for the logistics department, reflecting accurate financial transactions. Provide senior management with regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Employee Expenses, Payroll, and Tax Compliance: Oversee employee expenses and payroll management to ensure compliance with internal policies. I'd like you to collaborate with external tax advisors to make sure that they're in compliance with tax regulations in both the local and international contexts.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis: Participate in the budgeting process with the Director of Finance. Conduct regular financial forecasting and variance analysis to identify trends, control costs, and provide actionable insights to optimize logistics and financial operations.
Logistics Optimization & Cash Flow Management: Collaborate closely with the finance and operations teams to manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity supports ongoing projects. Implement measures to control costs, improve operational efficiencies, and drive profitability across Vanmovers’ logistics and warehousing divisions.
Compliance & Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize the integrity of the company's financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
5-7 years of relevant experience in logistics, financial management, or business development, with a focus on growth and strategic partnerships.
Experience in processing invoices, managing payment systems, and financial reporting in a logistics or freight-forwarding environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Netsuite, or similar).
Knowledge of regional and international tax reporting and compliance (particularly in the Middle Eastern context) is an asset.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Fluent in English for HQ meetings and reporting to CSO; knowledge of Kurdish is a MUST for working in Kurdistan, and Arabic is REQUIRED to grow in the Arabic region.

Salary range 110,220,000 IQD- 121,500,000 IQD (Based on experience)
40% Travel overseas within the Arabic Gulf and Kazakhstan.
