Job Summary
The Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of various projects within VanMovers' operations. This role will focus on identifying and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the seamless delivery of our services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, transportation, or operations management, coupled with a proven track record of successful project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead the development and execution of warehouse operations, transportation optimization, and fleet management projects.
Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Operational Efficiency: Analyze current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for further optimization.
Cost Reduction: Evaluate current costs and identify opportunities for savings.
Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible prices.
Implement cost-saving initiatives across various areas of the business.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Stay informed of changes in regulations and adapt processes accordingly.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Mentor and develop team members to reach their full potential.
Qualifications and knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, operations management, or a related field. MBA is preferred.
5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or operations management.
A proven track record of successful project management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Salary Range: The BDMII salary range is $85,000–$105,000 USD annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
